Behind the Scenes: Blogger Lifestyle Evolution

It's exciting when one learns that it's time to transition into a new phase in life. When we feel as if it's time to grow to new levels, reach new heights and show the world what's inside of you. 

It's so easy to doubt yourself, to be scared to make major moves without knowing the outcome. But, have you realized that success is waiting on the opposite side of fear? 

If you aren't aware, I am in transition with Thee Lipstick Canvas. I have been working so hard BTS over the last few weeks. TLC will be "formerly known" in the upcoming months. 

There will be a new name, new site and so much more that I'm excited to share really soon. It's time to expand and become more of a business and brand. 

I promise that you all will really love what I have in store. It will still be a Lifestyle and Beauty site where I will be giving you lots of valuable content and resources. 

I'm really confident about the new venture. So stick around and I'll be giving you full access to everything really soon!

Style: Rachel Roy Fashion Week, NYC

Fashion Week has began in the Big Apple. NYC, who has regained their top title as The Fashion Capital began Fashion Week, and Rachel Roy previewed her line February 5th. She stated that the Fall 2014 line was feminine but cool and simple pieces. The dresses were made to look as if they were multiple pieces but really one. Rachel line is for the chic but edgy woman, and can be worn out on the town, to business meetings, and more. The (long) leather gloves, lace, and prints really make these outfits a statement piece. Rachel's clothing line is found in stores such as Macy's. You can also shop her Rachel Roy collection in Saks, Nordstrom's, and Neiman Marcus. The Red is really daring, it is a ensemble that fits my personal style.

Bad Bey, H Town: BEYONCE

Did BEYONCE just give it to us or not?? Dropping an album without any promotion or anyone knowing is pure genius. I woke up in awe, hit the download button and have been in concert ever since. LOL! A visual album is creative and amazing. Bey Hives and Bey Stans are in heaven right now. So far, I love the songs Drunk in Love, Pretty Hurts, Partition, and Mine. Excuse me, I love the entire album! It is exclusively available on Itunes and will be available for purchase in retail stores on the 21st of December . Be sure to pick it up, I promise you won't be disappointed. Beyonce has given me an entire new outlook on her, she works so hard and she is such an ICON.

Business Women

On a typical day, I hop on the internet to look over my favorite fashion blogs and business sites for the newest trends, the fabulous ladies, and the success and entrepreneurship of our young generation. I have been so happy to see that (black) women are rising in being successful leaders and entrepreneurs of their own business. I, myself always wanted to have my own business and while I have tried, I have not stuck with it long enough to see Success because I became discouraged and was impatient to see the results of my hard work.  I am so ready to begin this thing again, and I say it a million times more than 1 but I'm sticking my foot out there and I am going to do this. HelloBeautiful showcased 30 under 30 style and beauty and while looking over it, I was like I HAVE TO DO THIS, I CAN DO THIS!! It gave me motivation and determination. If you look on Instagram daily there are so many women owning boutiques, hair vendors,  jewelry lines, makeup artists, and fashion stylists that are self-made, that are putting in the work to accomplish their dreams. It is AMAZING to me!! 

What are you ready to do that you have been putting off?? Let's get our dreams on the road!! WE CAN DO THIS as black women, as any women of any race that you are!!! I Believe we can!
