Lipstick Style Alert: Bucket Handbag

Over the past few weeks one handbag that has been catching my attention has been The Bucket Handbag. It's trendy, chic and I love the strap for more comfort on those days where you are busy doing a lot of running around.



It seems that the colors are limitless when it comes this bag. Not only the color, but also you can purchase the bag in a variety of styles and prints.




I'm a fan of large handbags that usually you wear over the arm but sometimes the style can be annoying. So, when I can find comfort and chic mixed in one I AM ALL FOR IT HONEY!

This bag to me can be paired well with your favorite denim boyfriend jeans, a nice white chiffon top and your sexy heels all while out on the town for a lunch date with the boo or a shopping trip with the ladies.

Fashion Files: Last Night Chronicles

*cues music* Shine bright like a diamond! 

I had the honor of not slipping into my pjs and balling up under the covers last night. I actually got out of the house with my co workers and attended a concert in my city. The likes of Rick Ross, Yo Gotti and other artists graced the stage to rap everyone's favorite songs. 

I enjoyed myself even though the rain turned my natural hair into a poofy poodle style. I had a few drinks, sang to the top of my lungs, and even shook a little tail feather.

Summer Style: Birkenstock Trend Sandal

The Birkenstock style is in full effect ladies. I know that I am not the only person who loves how fashionable they have created the Birkenstock trend to be this season. I can remember way back when it was just the regular pair usually created in one color, and now they are made in a variety of styles and patterns.

Let me just be honest here! Shopping in Target is my ultimate weakness, like I seriously think that I need intervention or a detox from the store. Okay, Okay so listen... I went in there one night for some odd reason, probably just to see what I can buy as always and I ran across the Sam&Libby sandal that resembled the Birkenstock. You see I never really thought about purchasing a pair of these before until watching Youtube Guru Vicky Logan Summer 2014 Lookbook: How to Style Birkenstocks and I fell in love with them, like Love at first sight.

I wear them every chance I get, Judge Me If you like. What are your thoughts on the style?

My Lipstick Chronicles

 

Well Hello, Monday. We meet again. It's been awhile since my last post but I have been busy with my work and personal life. So I got great news and I'm taking a leap of faith into a new job role and I'm both very nervous and equally excited. I've realized that you have to take yourself out of your comfort zone and be uncomfortable at times in order to grow. While they say the grass isn't greener on the other side, we won't know until we shift ourselves to see. 

Life is a juggle, a struggle but it has beauty and lessons in each of those. We have to be willing to let go of our comfortable ways. Each day, each mistake is an opportunity to become better. Faith of a mustard seed is all you need. Sometimes we feel we need more confirmation from others or we need this and that when it all could be so simple at times. Believe in you!! 

Honestly, I slack more often than I should and one of my goals has been to push myself even when I don't feel like doing something. I'm trying to be consistent in so many areas of my life because I know it's very beneficial to me. I have been trying on the weekends to get out of bed and make it up when I do so that I don't become confined and have a lazy weekend. What are some steps you take to jump start your days or weekends off? 

This weekend I went to a friends housewarming party and I must say that I enjoyed myself. I hardly get out or hang with friends donut felt good to do so.

GX Gwen Stefani Collection for Shoedazzle

It's said that a woman can never own too many shoes. Honnneyy Child build me a Carrie Bradshaw Sex in the City Closet so that I can have my shoes on display. *Waits for Confetti and Glitter to fall from the sky* 

Shoedazzle is a site that I purchase from more than I probably should but you can't beat the prices, the styles, and the credits that you get for purchasing. My last 5 pair of heels have all came from shopping on their site. They have celebrity boutiques such as Rachel Zoe and now they have introduced their line with Gwen Stefani which premiered today. 

The GX Gwen Stefani collection inspiration stems with diverse influences such as tribal to punk. She has incorporated many different colors in various styles such as your classic pointed toe pump, wedges, chunky heels, lace ups and nice clutches and over sized hand bags. This line is very structured, sophisticated and sexy.

Such a late Wednesday post, excuse me but my days are very long sometimes! But my goal is to remain consistent no matter what. I want to bring more fashion photos to the site so that is in the plans, hang on with me! Lol. 

A little style goes a long way! How can one go wrong with Plaid and Riding Boots? I am loving this jacket I purchased not too long ago and it is just the right statement piece for any outfit. Since plaid is on the trending list it's perfect for fall wear. I have yet to go with the plaid button down trend but I plan on it. What plaid pieces have you wore lately?

Get Glam: Pointed Pumps

My Get Glam pick is the pointed toe pumps. I know that this style has made it's comeback for some time now, but I have yet to really get into it. Not because I don't think that they are stylish but I just haven't snagged many pairs to wear just yet. I brought a pair last year and they are still boxed in my closet waiting to be worn. I really think this style goes well with boyfriend jeans and any shirt of choice whether a button down, t shirt, or chiffon top. These pumps are such a classic and great for business events, and interviews not limited to a night out on the town or dinner with your love. Are you into them yet or you'd rather just stick to other choices?

Saturday Style: Work Week OOTD

Happy Saturday Loves! I know I'm posting super late but it's been a long productive day. I wore this outfit during the week for work. It's just another comfy chic' ensemble for me, anything with prints and color is my go to style. I snagged the top from the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target, did you get anything when it made its debut? 

I am hoping to change up my style very soon, I would like to incorporate very sleek, sophisticated and tailored pieces to my personal wardrobe. I love that your style can be whatever you like, it can always evolve. Fashion is really priceless.

Personal Style: OOTD

I decided to showcase a little of my own personal style today or in other words my  OOTD. It was very rainy here so I actually changed out of my pumps into a pair of Zara flats. 

I would like to describe my go to ensemble as comfy chic'. Being that I work in a office, flats and comfort is best for sitting at a desk for many hours. I'm obsessed with heels, handbags and color when choosing pieces to purchase or wear. What do your personal style usually consist of??

Lipstick Fashion Pick: Denim on Denim

Today's Lipstick Fashion Pick is the Denim + Denim Trend and a little accessory of Fur. It is no way to go wrong seeing that you can add just about any color or pop of one's own personal feel because of how broad this outfit can be when adding details. Since it is fall and fur is a go to statement I decided to add this as my go to detail. Picking out a chunky statement necklace or a leather jacket will make your denim pop as well.

The Denim + Denim fit can be worn all season round which makes this a great Fashion pick in my eyes. How would you dress yourself in this trend?

Lipstick Fashion Pick: The Feather Skirt

Hello Lipstick Loves! I decided to do a Fashion Pick of the Day. We are in the Festive Holiday Season where invites for Christmas parties, events and dinners are in full swing. In my town, there is not much happening and I don't get too dress up too often to even attend such gatherings but it is nice to play on website with the best dresses and skirts that will turn every eye and make you the spotlight of the room. 

My Fashion Pick of the day is the Feather Skirt. I'm in love with these skirts right now and they are definitely on trend. You can really dress the ensemble up. This skirt can be displayed as a full dress if you pair the right shirt with it such as a bodysuit or a form fitting top. The one I chose is the Michaela Marabou-Feather Skirt from BCBG MAXAZRIA priced at $268.00. Would you splurge or not?
